Legacy Work and Ethical Wills
A typical legal will is about property and assets you will leave behind. But what about the intangible parts of you that you hope your loved ones will remember?
Legacy work is designed for you to share wisdom and feelings with your next of kin, chosen family, or community in writing or any creative medium that speaks to you.
This guided process will have you reflect on your life, your values, and what you want to leave behind—in your own words.
What is Legacy Work? What are Ethical Wills?
An ethical will is a document that shares your values, life lessons, beliefs, and hopes for others. Unlike a legal will, it does not distribute possessions. Instead, it offers something more personal: your voice, your perspective, and what you want others to carry forward.
This tradition has roots in Jewish history, where individuals passed down wisdom and meaning alongside material inheritance.
Today, ethical wills can be created by anyone, at any stage of life.
Legacy Work Offerings
Mindy brings a rare combination of clinical training and legal expertise to this work. With a law degree from the University of Miami (cum laude, 2008) and years as a member of the Florida Bar, she understands the intersection of legal planning and personal meaning-making in ways that most therapists do not.
Her legal background becomes a gift in legacy work—helping clients think through practical considerations while never losing sight of the emotional and existential dimensions of what they want to leave behind.

An intimate, guided conversation about grief, mortality, meaning, and what matters most.
As a Certified Death Over Dinner Facilitator, I create thoughtfully curated gatherings that help break the silence around death, dying, loss, and legacy. Through meaningful conversation in a warm and welcoming environment, participants are invited to reflect on what matters most, share stories, and connect with others around experiences that are often left unspoken.
These gatherings are designed for private groups, organizations, workplaces, and community settings. Conversations can take place over dinner, drinks, dessert, or another format tailored to your group’s needs.
